Experiences are more fun when you share them with others, and biking experiences are no exception. There's nothing like a biking buddy to get you motivated to ride, to tour, to race or just to shoot the breeze about bikes. And bikers are generally a gregarious lot, almost always eager to accept others into the "inner circle" of cycling so they can share their own experiences.

The internet is a wonderful tool for building communities of people who have the same ideas. You don't have to live next door any more to discover good friends with the same interests and abilities.
